Bourdain Bread Board - Ambrosia Maple

  • Handmade by an artisan in Brooklyn, New York, our Bourdain Bread Board is an equally utilitarian and captivating addition to any kitchen and tabletop. The unique silvery streaks of color are the result of ambrosia beetles boreing into the maple tree and discoloring the wood. Long and narrow, the board is perfect for serving bread, cheeses, fruit, cruditès, and charcuterie platters. The boards are made by hand in Brooklyn, New York.

Due to the natural way in which the patterns are made, each piece will be unique and will differ slightly from the product(s) in the photo.

Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain
“Do we really want to travel in hermetically sealed popemobiles through the rural provinces of France, Mexico and the Far East, eating only in Hard Rock Cafes and McDonalds? Or do we want to eat without fear, tearing into the local stew, the humble taqueria's mystery meat, the sincerely offered gift of a lightly grilled fish head? I know what I want. I want it all. I want to try everything once.” —Anthony Bourdain
